1. Are your pet’s ID tags and microchip information up to date?
2. Make sure your pet’s collar and tags are on.
3. Make arrangements for a sitter to look after your pet if you are going away. Get them a babysitter tag with their phone number on it.
4. Ask your guest to be careful at the doors.
5. If your pet is a door dasher, put them in a room while your guests are coming and going.
6. Supervise interactions between your pet and your guest’s children for everyone’s safety.
7. Ask your guest to not feed your pet no matter how cute your pet can be.
8. If you have a counter-surfer, as a guest or family member to keep your pet occupied in another room while you are cooking.
9. Remove all trash and bones immediately after the meal. You don’t want your pet to get hurt from chewing on a bone.
10. Don’t leave your pet outside unattended.
